No. 89 High Temperature Membrane by Sauereisen is an asphalt-based material designed to function as an elastomeric membrane. Supplied as a single component for spray applications, it is typically used behind either a monolithic refractory or a brick & mortar lining. The membrane serves as a final layer of defense for concrete, steel, or brick substrates subject to corrosive conditions. No. 89 maintains flexibility and chemical resistance to a wide variety of acids, alkalis and salts associated with flue gas environments. The membrane also tolerates moderate substrate movement from temperature changes or other causes. Suitable for temperature ranges of -60ºF to 300ºF.
